Mr. Yao Chen joined BME Lab as an undergraduate intern in Sep. 2019. He is a senior student studying in the Youth Honor Program (a top juvenile pilot class.) of the School of Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
His research focuses on the embedded system development of blood pressure monitoring based on the hardware upgrades and corresponding software modifications. He has a great interest in interdisciplinary research in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Therefore, my research goal is to innovate new technology in the interdisciplinary area of electrical and biomedical, to help people who are suffering disease back to health.

Yue Tang Research Intern
Yue is a senior student, major in Biomedical Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. He has been working in BME Lab as an undergraduate research intern since September 2019.
His current research centers around multi-modality signal processing and vessel imaging enhancement.

Jieyuan Tan Research Intern
Jieyuan is a senior student majored in Electronic and Information Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. He has been working in BME Lab as an undergraduate research intern since September 2019.
His area of interest is the application of electrical computer engineering and artificial intelligence in biomedicine.

Bowen Wang Research Intern
Bowen is a senior student major in Mechanical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He has been making contributions in BME lab as an undergraduate research intern since October 2019.
His current research focus is mechanical optimization of head gears for blood pressure monitoring.

Zhanghao Huang Research Intern
Zhanghao is a senior student major in Electrical Engineering in Zhejiang University, China. Zhanghao has been working in BME Lab as an undergraduate research intern since September 2019.
His research interests include motor control, signal and data processing and sensor array designing. He is going to pursue his PhD degree at ZJU.

Guodong(Jell) Zhou visiting PhD Student
Email: gzhou3 at mgh dot harvard dot edu Guodong joins BME Lab as a visiting Ph.D. during Jan to Jun 2018 from Department of Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on the realization of the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) system based on organic photodetectors. He also involves the development of cuffless blood pressure measurement system via (flexible pressure sensors based) superficial temporal artery (STA) pulse monitoring.

Zhanyue Zhao Research Assistant

Rongzhi is a senior undergrad majoring in Measurement Control Technology and Instruments at Zhejiang University, China. He has worked in BME Lab as an undergraduate intern since Sep 2018.
Rongzhi’s research interests include signal and data processing, machine learning and embedded system. Currently, he is working on a sensor array design to optimize blood pressure monitoring. Ding Zhang, PhD Visiting Professor
Dr. Zhang received a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, a M.S. in operations research from Tsinghua University, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is now a professor of management science at the State University of New York at Oswego. Dr. Zhang has research interests in social economic networks, urban transportation planning, and supply chain competition, and is recently interested in psychodynamics.
